C&W Networks Contributes to the Growth of Liberty Global in our Region

We’re pleased to share with you our parent company’s financial results for Latin America and the Caribbean (the LiLAC Group) during the 2016 period. The LiLAC Group reported $2.72 billion in revenue in the last year, for an annual growth rate of 1.2 percent. Of that total revenue, it’s important to highlight that Cable & Wireless Communications contributed $1.44 billion in 2016. When we examine the performance of other entities in the LiLAC group, we see that the company’s Chilean operation (VTR) reported revenue of $859.5 million while that of Puerto Rico reported $420.8 million. Liberty gained a good deal of traction with these units, as they helped compensate for the declining demand for fixed and mobile phone lines in certain sectors. Looking Forward to Canto 2017

C&W Networks was one of the companies present at CANTO’s 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event took place in Curaçao from the 29th till the 31st of January and like every year brought together the entire Caribbean telecommunications operators and providers. After a number of lectures in which our company actively participated, the body’s new board of directors was elected. The election was one of the most highly anticipated moments with each CANTO member casting their vote. Julian Wilkins, representing Digicel Trinidad and Tobago, was reelected as Chair of the Board; Rochelle Cameron, representing C&W Grenada was elected to the position of Vice Chair; Helma Etnel representing Telem as Treasurer; and Melisia Sutherland, of C&W Antigua, was re-elected as a Director.
